Role summary

This role supports the Community Response Team (CRT), a group of clinicians and support workers helping patients discharge from hospital and preventing admissions. The successful candidate will provide operational and administrative support to the Professional Lead, managing diaries, capacity, recruitment, and coordinating meetings and training. It requires strong IT skills, motivation, initiative, and excellent communication and organisational abilities. The position involves working across two sites in Leamington and Stratford.

Essential criteria

  • NVQ Level III in Business Administration or equivalent
  • Good standard of general education (4 GCSEs or equivalent), including Maths and English language
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development

Desirable criteria

  • Diploma in administrative practice or business management
  • Significant previous experience of working in a clerical/administration post
  • Previous experience of working within the NHS
  • Good interpersonal, negotiation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent IT skills and experience in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel, and other databases
  • Sound personal management skills - prioritising, planning, organisational, time management and problem solving
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Understand issues related to and be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, although can work independently
  • Ability to deal with unpredictable workload and frequent interruptions
  • Tactful and diplomatic
  • Adaptable and flexible
  • Ability to operate a bring forward system and follow up action points from meetings
  • Other
  • Flexibility to work in other areas when required

Job summary

The Community Response Team is a team of skilled clinicians and clinical support workers working together to support patients being discharged from hospital following illness and preventing admissions into hospital for patients in their own home.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, positive, organised person to join this team on a part time basis to support the Community Response Team lead to help manage the service. The successful candidate will be involved in a number of tasks including diary/capacity/pathway management, recruitment, meetings, training and co-ordination therefore will need to have a range of IT system skills, be able to manage the complexity of the role, highly motivated, work on your own initiative and have excellent communication/organisation skills.

The successful candidate will be required to work between the Leamington base at Whitnash Lodge, RLSRH and the Stratford base at the Stratford Hospital.
