Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Audiologist with a special interest in paediatrics to join the team at York, with clinics also in Harrogate. The role involves providing audiological cover for ENT clinics, offering a comprehensive hearing aid service to paediatric patients, and performing advanced test procedures. The successful candidate will also participate in departmental audit, research, and development, while maintaining up-to-date knowledge in the audiological field.
Essential criteria
- Evidence of relevant Post-Graduate CPD Activities
- BSc in Audiology (or equivalent)
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working with paediatric audiology patients
- Experience of supervising and training students.
- Communication
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, allowing me to convey information clearly and effectively with patients, colleagues, public and members of Directorate and Trust.
- Work effectively as part of a team, contributing positively to collaborative efforts and shared goals
- Leadership
- Experience in a relevant junior role, including the management of a range of audiological conditions.
- Experience in assessment and provision of specialist equipment.
- Understanding of the current issues in Health Care Standards of Professional Practice

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Audiologist to join our team - with a special interest in paediatrics- role is based at York with clinics at Harrogate
The successful candidate will:
- Provide audiological cover for ENT clinics, consisting of basic pure tone audiometry, tympanometry and speech audiometry as required.
- Provide over 3 clinics and under 3 clinics (full training will be given)
- Provide a comprehensive hearing aid service to paediatric patients referred to the Department from GPs and the ENT Department, including provision of a full range of NHS digital hearing aids.
- Recommend more complex assessments (OAE, obscure auditory dysfunction testing, vestibular assessment, ERA and Tinnitus Assessments/rehabilitation) and perform these as trained appropriately.
- Take aural impressions for paediatric age groups, working within national and departmental protocols and using own clinical judgement to ensure safe and competent practice.
- Participate in departmental audit, research and development.
