Role summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician in Aseptic Services at Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust. Key responsibilities

  • Carry out complex technical pharmacy processes with high accuracy, including calculations, documentation checks, and quality assurance for safe preparation workflows.
  • Maintain specialist competencies for aseptic practice, ensuring compliance with validation standards, controlled environment procedures, and safe handling of specialist medicines.
  • Process medication requests and prescriptions accurately, maintaining records, supporting stock control, and recording medicines information through appropriate systems.
  • Undertake specialist dispensing activities for clinical trials, unlicensed medicines, chemotherapy-related products, and emergency supplies, adhering to defined procedures.
  • Contribute to workforce development by assisting with training, guidance, and supervision of pharmacy staff, students, and colleagues, while maintaining continued professional learning.
  • Support the effective running of pharmacy services by identifying improvement opportunities, using resources responsibly, complying with safety requirements, and contributing to risk reduction.

Essential criteria

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician with NVQ Level 3/BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working within a hospital pharmacy setting.
  • Experience in aseptic preparation and cytotoxic reconstitution.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy information systems and dispensing procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail with good communication and teamwork skills.In addition to experience, all Qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of

Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a

Pharmacy Technician Aseptic Services in Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust to

join the Pharmacy Department at Pinderfields General Hospital. You will be responsible for supporting

the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical services by undertaking a wide

range of technical duties within the Pharmacy Department, with a primary focus

on Aseptic Services. You will manage the preparation of sterile medicines in

accordance with regulatory and quality standards, contribute to the safe and

effective supply of medicines, and support inclusion on the Trust Intrathecal

Register. You will work collaboratively with pharmacy colleagues and
