Role summary
This rotational radiographer role involves delivering service across various clinical environments, including CT, MRI, and X-ray, often requiring lone working. Essential criteria
- DCR (R) or BSc Diagnostic Radiography
- HCPC registration
Desirable criteria
- IV Cannulation Certificate
- Substantial post qualification experience
- Knowledge and experience with NHS Targets and Care pathways
- Experience dealing with a diverse range of patient presentations
- Experience in specialised imaging techniques CT and MRI Experience using PACS and RIS and an understanding of its significance for good service management and patient care
- Experience of performing Quality Assurance tests and management of a robust QA program
- Skills and aptitudes

Job summary
The duties and responsibilities of the post holder require service delivery in awide range of clinical environments as well as to a diversity of patientpresentations and will involve lone working in particular areas or specialities and at particular times.
The service is delivered on a shift basis, working 7:45am - 8pm 7 days a week. The post is a rotational radiographer post. Rotating through CT, MRI, and when required -x-ray. CT and MRI comprises of both static and mobile units. A wide variety of patients will be encountered and will include those exhibiting anti-social or threatening behaviour. Other influencing factors include the skills needed to provide patients orrelatives with empathy, and emotional support for the bereaved, terminally ill,injured, traumatised, those involved in suspected Non Accidental Injuryparticularly the very young and the very old, or those altered by substanceuse/abuse.
Main duties of the job
The responsibilities will include training, teaching and supervision of students,qualified junior staff and assistant staff in both the delivery of the service andtheir individual development needs in a motivational manner.Assisting in and managing, workflow and ensuring all data inputs are recordedfor both patient record integrity and statistical evaluation purposes.Encouraging the highest professional and technical standards in all staf
