Role summary
This role is for GPs or doctors with similar skills to work as Medical Officers within multi-disciplinary community alcohol and drug teams. You will assess and review individuals with drug and/or alcohol dependency, delivering interventions such as substitute prescribing, detoxification, and relapse prevention. The position involves managing a caseload, working closely with specialist services and GPs, and is professionally accountable to senior clinicians. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde offers thorough induction, supervision, CPD, and appraisal.

This is an ideal opportunity for GPs, or Drs with similar skills, to gain experience of working in multi-disciplinary community alcohol and drug teams and to improve their clinical skills in the management of drug and alcohol problems. We are offering permanent part-time sessions, with an induction and clinical support from senior clinicians.
