Role summary
This role is for a Band 6 Staff Nurse (RGN) to join the primary care team at HMP Manchester. The successful candidate will provide equitable, evidence-based care to individuals detained in prison, working as an integral part of the multidisciplinary team. It requires strong communication skills, professional decision-making, and emotional resilience. The post holder will assist in the overall delivery of patient care within the Primary Care department.

- oExperience in, or relevant knowledge of, delivering the National Screening Programmes o post qualification experience.
- oExperience of working as a manager or team leader, including management practice and service development. oExperience of working within a secure environment oDelivering training to a broad range of audiences. oService user and carer involvement in service development. of disciplines other than own background. oExperience in using the "green book" to guide
- Knowledge and Skills
- o o o o o o o o o o o o Excellent clinical assessment skills, including assessment and management of risk; in relation to Older People and Adults of Working Age In depth knowledge of the National Screening programmes. Ability to provide leadership and management skills to an integrated multidisciplinary team. Ability to organise, prioritise and monitor own and others work load. Supervisory skills including staff appraisal and supervision. Ability to contribute to staff training and development. Ability to communicate and work effectively with service users, carers, other agencies and professionals. Ability to involve service users and carers in service delivery, service evaluation and service development Ability to manage change and contribute to the development of services. Ability to contribute to the development of service policies and strategies. Ability to ensure effective use of information technology. Prepared to work flexibility to meet the needs of the service. At times it may be required for the postholder to undertake clinical duties to support the team's operation. Able to travel to other prisons if required.

Job summary
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a staff nurse Band 6 RGN to join our highly skilled primary care team at HMP Manchester.
We are looking for a highly motivated and compassionate nurse who has an interest in providing equitable care to individuals detained in prison.
You will contribute to evidence based patient care and be an integral part of the MDT and wider prison multi agency team. You will have strong communication skills and the ability to make structured professional decisions.
The role requires strong emotional resilience, self awareness and continuous reflective practice. You will be supported by your peers and managers.
