Job summary
The Nuclear Medicine & PET-CT Department employs over 20 staff and has an annual budget of over £2.5million. The department is highly specialised and services include: a comprehensive range of nuclear medicine including SPECT-CT, PET-CT, non-imaging tests, therapeutic services with inpatient facilities and osteoporosis screening. The department also has commitment to clinical research and development. The main roles of the job include:
- The post holder will work unsupervised but under guidance from Lead Clinical Technologists and the Chief Technologist
- The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of high quality diagnostic images for all Nuclear Medicine & PET-CT investigations.
- An ability to interpret the standard operating procedures is essential in order to adapt/manipulate protocols depending on the clinical indications.
- He/she will encourage the highest professional and technical standards in all staff by personal example and constructive supervision.
Main duties of the job
- Perform all diagnostic Nuclear Medicine procedures, including SPECT-CT, PET-CT, and DEXA, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients, staff, and yourself in line with Health & Safety protocols.
