Role summary
This role is for an enthusiastic Band 5/6 nurse to join the Neurodevelopmental team, supporting young people on ADHD medication. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, assisting with medication reviews and assessments for ADHD and Autism. The position involves managing a caseload, recording physical health observations, and documenting clinical information accurately. Training and supervision are provided, including a preceptorship programme if needed.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of young people taking ADHD medication.
- Record physical health observations (height, weight, blood pressure, pulse) accurately in electronic patient records.
- Document accurately and communicate clinical outcome letters to primary care GPs and other services.
- Complete risk assessments and collaboratively develop plans of care with young people.
- Monitor young people on ADHD medication and show understanding of medication side effects.
- Provide screening of new referrals to the service.
Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse with current registration [mental health/LD/Adult], appropriate to the job role.
- Knowledge of MHA (1983/2007).
- Knowledge of Mental Capacity Act (2005), to include practical knowledge of FACE documentation, DOLS and Best Interest decisions.
- Child and Adult safe guarding procedures
- Change management at organising and prioritising their workload
- Demonstrate ability to enhance care through evidence based knowledge
- Demonstrate professional development relevant to the specific care group

Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic band 5/6 nurse to join our Neurodevelopmental team supporting young people who take ADHD medication.
We are open to Redeployment for this role.
You would be working with a team of specialists including psychiatry, psychology, OT and registered nurses supporting the assessments of ADHD and Autism and managing young people who take ADHD medication.
We work as a multidisciplinary team and we are looking for band 5/6 nurse who can support our non medical prescribers in offering medication reviews for young people taking ADHD medication.
Main duties of the job
