Role summary
This role is for a Clinical Pathway Administrator to join the Nephrology and Renal team at Barnet Hospital on a 12-month maternity cover basis. The administrator will support the delivery and coordination of clinical pathways, ensuring efficient administrative processes and high-quality patient care. Key responsibilities include managing patient referrals, maintaining accurate records, and facilitating communication across services. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organised, and adaptable with strong communication and IT skills.
Essential criteria

- Education & professional Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent
- Experience of working in a public/patient facing role
- Experience of working with ERS, EMIS, or similar electronic Patient Administration Systems
- Skills and aptitudes
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to use initiative and problem solve, in a busy clinical environment
- Typing and data entry skills
- Good level of computer literacy skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and databases
- Flexible and adaptable to the changing needs of the service
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
- Time management and organisational skills
- Personal Qualities & attributes
- Sympathetic attitude to patients and relatives, who may be extremely distressed or anxious.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to people at all levels
- The ability to manage conflict and identify where escalation to senior staff is necessary
- Others
- Willingness and flexibility to work across multiple sites as required
- RTT validation experience
- Awareness of NHS RTT rules
