Role summary
This role is for a Band 7 Advanced Clinical Lead within the Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team (CRHTT) in Peterborough. The post holder will provide advanced psychological formulations, manage complex patients, and offer clinical leadership. Responsibilities include autonomous work within professional guidelines, utilising research for service development, and providing advice on evaluating team work. The role requires independent travel and involves working a rotation of early, late, and night shifts.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver on-going specialist assessments of adult service users referred to, and under the care of the CRHTT.
- Establish and deliver clinical supervision group and individual to the CRHT practitioners.
- Develop formulations of presenting problems or situations that integrates information from assessments alongside other team members.
- Be responsible for implementing a range of interventions for individuals, carers, families and groups.
- Provide specialist professional advice, guidance and consultation to other professionals.
- Undertake risk assessment and risk management for service users within CRHTT.
Essential criteria
- Degree or equivalent professional qualifications
- Evidence of relevant post qualification training
- Post registration training in risk management
- Non-medical prescribing qualification
- Experience of working with clients in acute mental health need
- Experience of providing clinical leadership into a mental health multi disciplinary team
- Proven experience of good working relationships within a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience of managing workload, ability to prioritise
- Evidence of clinical supervision training and/or experience
- Working in a supervisory capacity
- Experience of interagency working and liaison
- Ability to develop therapeutic relationships with difficult to engage clients
- Good understanding and use of Care Programme Approach, Care Planning and Care Management
- Good understanding of the practical application of Recovery Principles
- Knowledge of policy and legislation relating to metal health and social care services
- Excellent decision-making and problem solving skills
- Must be able to utilise basic IT, in particular email, word processing and spreadsheets
- Demonstration of therapeutic optimism for working in a CRHTT service
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to foster good inter team/interagency working relationships
- Able to demonstrate initiative and be proactive

- Commited to personal and team development
- Good understanding of the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act , Safeguarding policies and procedures (Adult and Young People , Care Programme Approach
- Good knowledge of the referral systems and service provisions within the Trust

- Understanding of the implication of current national guidance i.e Mental Health Crisis Concordant on CRHTT services
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working within a CRHTT
- Experience of working with wider stakeholder groups , Care Pathway Teams, independent sector agencies
- Qualification or significant experience using CBT, DBT, MBT or CAT with service users
- Experience of working within an acute inpatient service
- Experience or working within an adult community mental health service
- An understanding / experience of case management in teams

Job summary
We are currently recruiting to our Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team service and have an opportunity for a Band 7 Advanced Clinical Lead to join our well established Team.
Clinically the post holder would have the ability to provide advanced psychological formulations and involvement, in the planning and management of complex patients, as well supporting other teams & services, regarding treatment and referral pathway.
The successful candidate will work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures. You will utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area served by the team/service, and provide advice to the Modern Matron and & Team Managers on methods of evaluating the work of the team including advising and developing outcomes measures.
You will have access to regular clinical, managerial supervision to support you in your day to day work and will be required to work a rotation of early; late and night shifts. There is the opportunity for professional support and development in areas such as advanced training and leadership roles.
