Role summary
This is an opportunity for an innovative, motivated, and enthusiastic individual to join the City EIP team as a Team Leader. The role involves leading an experienced team of specialist mental health professionals, overseeing and guiding care for service users with first episode psychosis, and their families. The successful applicant will provide leadership, managerial, and supervisory responsibility to a multi-disciplinary team, working closely with senior management to shape care in Bradford.
Key responsibilities
- Provide leadership, managerial, and supervisory responsibility to a multi-disciplinary team.
- Oversee and guide care and support for service users, their families, and carers.
- Work closely with the senior management team to creatively shape and guide care.
- Undertake other responsibilities and duties commensurate with the band as agreed annually via appraisal.
Essential criteria
- Professional qualification in nursing, social work, occupational therapy or clinical psychology.
- Knowledge of the principles of and the evidence base underpinning EIP
- Knowledge of psychosocial interventions (PSI) and experience of applying psycho-social principles in practice.
- Up to date knowledge of the principles and practice of the Care Programme Approach
- Extensive experience in a senior care coordinator role with adults, young people and/or children with serious mental health problems.
- Supervisory experience
- Experience of working with people who use/misuse substances.

- Risk Management (including judgement skills)
- Demonstrates leadership ability.
- Demonstrates values and attitudes necessary for modern mental health practice in an EIP service.
- Able to integrate and work within a multi-disciplinary team and in complex service structures.

Desirable criteria
- Dual diagnosis qualification
- Experience of a leadership role in Early intervention
- Experience of working in a specialist psychosis service
- Experience of providing training in PSI (etc.)
- Experience of working with families
- Family interventions
- Use of formal assessment schedules
- Ability to speak Urdu and/or Punjabi
- Skills required for engaging with people from local BME communities.

Job summary
An opportunity has come up within the City EIP team for an innovative, motivated and enthusiastic individual with an interest in EIP to join as team leader.
The service is looking for someone with a passion for high quality recovery focused care to play an active role in overseeing and guiding care and support for service users, their families and carers.
The successful applicant will take on leadership responsibilities for an experienced, well-established team of supportive specialist mental health professionals delivering recovery focussed care for individuals with a diagnosis of a first episode psychosis. The successful applicant will provide leadership, managerial and supervisory responsibility to the multi-disciplinary team comprising of nurses, social workers, OT's, Psychological Therapists and support workers. Given the nature of the work, the role involves close networking with colleagues across BDCT and the Bradford locality.
