Role summary
This role is for a caring and compassionate Health Care Support Worker within Mental Health or Learning Disabilities Services. The post holder will follow care plans, record observations, and document care given to patients with complex mental and social needs. Key duties include daily observations, supporting structured days, escorting patients, vital signs, manual handling, infection control, safeguarding, hydration, and nutrition checks. The role requires excellent communication, a positive attitude, and a desire to provide quality individualized care.
Essential criteria
- Level 3 NVQ in mental health/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care or Equivalent
- Clinical experience working with patients who have complex mental and social needs

- Experience of nursing/managing violence & aggression

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for following care plans and recording all personally generated observations and documenting care given in individual's notes.

You will be undertaking a vital role in maintaining quality care and be part in the recovery of our patients.
