Role summary
This is a unique part-time Band 7 Clinical Psychologist role within Child Health at Hampshire Hospitals Foundation Trust. The post involves contributing to multidisciplinary autism assessments within the Early Years Autism Assessment Team (EYAAT) and providing psychological assessment and intervention for children and young people. The successful candidate will develop specialist skills in paediatric psychology, including funded ADOS-2 training. It's an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic psychologist seeking to develop broad skills in a supportive, multidisciplinary paediatric service.
Essential criteria
- Doctorate (or equivalent) in Clinical Psychology
Desirable criteria
- Additional experience in autism assessment
- HCPC Registration
- HCPC registration as a practitioner psychologist or awaiting registration
- Experience and additional training
- Experience in working with children and young people in a paediatric health setting
- Experience with autism assessments
- Education and Qualifications

Main duties of the job
This exciting Band 7 role offers the opportunity to develop specialist skills across a varied and rewarding paediatric psychology remit. A key component of the post will be contributing to multidisciplinary autism assessments within our Early Years Autism Assessment Team (EYAAT), alongside providing psychological assessment, formulation and intervention for children and young people within our psychological therapies pathway.
The successful candidate will be supported to develop their expertise in autism assessment, including access to funded ADOS-2 training.
