Role summary
This is an exciting new Pathway Coordinator role supporting the development and delivery of My Follow Up Plan. The successful candidate will work with various teams to ensure effective use of pathway resources and consistent remote follow-up pathways. This role is key to establishing a sustainable and well-coordinated approach as the service grows, helping to reduce variation and strengthen follow-up care delivery. It's an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys process improvement and service development.
Essential criteria
- Good standard of education including GCSE English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
- equivalent). ? NVQ Level 4 in Business Administration, Management, Healthcare Administration or equivalent experience.
- ECDL or equivalent IT qualification/experience.
Desirable criteria
- Training in process mapping, quality improvement or pathway management.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Knowledge and Expertise
- Knowledge of NHS administrative processes and systems.
- Understanding of patient pathways and appointment management.
- Knowledge of Information Governance and Data Protection requirements
- Experience using Meditech, EPR or equivalent patient administration systems
- Understanding of data quality and accurate record management.
- Knowledge of cancer pathways and oncology terminology.
- Knowledge of clinic template management and associated administrative processes.
- Experience working within an NHS or healthcare environment.
- Experience coordinating administrative processes across multiple teams
- Experience maintaining action logs, trackers and reports.
- Experience working with electronic patient record systems.
- Experience managing competing priorities in a busy environment.
- Experience of clinic management and/or clinic template administration.
- Experience developing SOPs, guidance documents or process maps.
- Experience undertaking audits or data analysis.

Pathway Coordinator
We are pleased to introduce an exciting new Pathway Coordinator post to support the ongoing development and delivery of My Follow Up Plan. As the service continues to grow across tumour groups, this role will be key in establishing a consistent, sustainable and well-coordinated approach to remote follow-up pathways.
The successful candidate will work with Cancer Support Workers, administrative teams and clinical colleagues to ensure pathway resources are used effectively and in the best interests of the service and our patients. The role will support the coordination and development of My Follow Up Plan, helping to reduce variation across pathways and strengthen the way follow-up care is delivered.
