Key responsibilities
- Help maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients.
- Follow care plans to provide individualised personal care and assist with mobility.
- Work with the multi-disciplinary team to provide emotional support to patients, carers, and visitors.
- Encourage patient participation in activities that promote rehabilitation and wellbeing.
- Take and record observations such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and oxygen saturations.
- Monitor food and fluid intake and report any concerns to the nursing team.
Essential criteria
- Education to GCSE level Grade C in English and Mathematics or equivalent
- Care Certificate and or equivalent health care experience
- Some previous experience in a nursing/Care Assistant role
- Able to make own travelling arrangements
- Ability to work 12.5 hour shift patterns
- May be required to work in other community hospitals within our Trust in order to meet the needs of the service

We are a 20-bed inpatient neurological rehabilitation unit providing specialist rehabilitation and support for patients recovering from neurological conditions and injuries. We work closely with patients and the people important to them to maximise independence, promote recovery and help individuals achieve their rehabilitation goals.
This is an exciting time to join us as we are expanding our Clinical Support Worker team. These additional posts have been created through investment in the service, allowing us to provide in-house enhanced support for our patients.
Working alongside our nurses and all of our multi-disciplinary healthcare professionals, you will be supported to provide person-centred care and support patients throughout their recovery journey.
