Role summary
This role is a 12-month fixed-term position to cover maternity leave, working 27 hours per week. The postholder will influence the quality of the clinical learning environment by supporting and educating Practice Assessors/Supervisors and students. They will promote high standards of care through role modelling and assisting in the delivery of effective training programmes. A key responsibility is to facilitate a positive learning environment in various settings.
Essential criteria
- Registered Midwife with UK NMC Pin
- Evidence of continuous professional development
- Evidence of SSSA/ mentorship/ teaching or equivalent
- Act in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Code of Professional Conduct and Midwives rules.
- Experience working with students/ preceptorship midwives
- Education
- Registered Midwife with UK NMC Pin

Job summary
The practice education facilitator roles are designed to influence the quality of the clinical learning environment by providing support, educational input and development activities for Practice Assessors/Supervisors and students.
The role aims to enhance the quality of the practice learning experience and positively contribute to the future workforce.
The postholder will be required to promote high standards of care through role modelling the demonstration of clinical expertise, leadership and professionalism, whilst working along-side the Senior Team and training team, assisting in the delivery of effective programmes and the facilitation of high quality learning.
Main duties of the job
This is to cover maternity leave only for 12 months .
The post holder will be required towork 27 hours per week (0.72 WTE) in collaboration with existing post holder to make up the 1.0 WTE.
The successful candidate must be a Registered Midwife with UK
NMC Pin and have evidence of continuous professional development.
Evidence of SSSA/ mentorship/ teaching or equivalent, substantial post registration experience, with evidence of working in all areas of maternity.
