Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a Specialist Biomedical Scientist to join the Biochemistry Department at James Cook University Hospital. Essential criteria
- HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist with an IBMS accredited Biomedical Science degree.
- Completed Specialist Portfolio in an appropriate discipline with evidence of ongoing CPD.
- Experience working within an accredited NHS Clinical Biochemistry Laboratory.
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, ISO 15189 standards, and laboratory IT systems.
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently

Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Specialist
Biomedical Scientist in South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to
join the Biochemistry Department at James Cook University Hospital. You
will be responsible for maintaining high professional standards while
supporting the delivery of an effective Blood Science service. Working
professionally accountable to the Blood Science Service Manager, you will
manage your own professional development, participate in relevant training
activities, and ensure your knowledge and skills remain up to date with the
changing demands of the service. You will support continuous improvement by

and taking responsibility for your actions. You will also be expected to
