Role summary
This Assistant Practitioner role is a 12-month secondment within the Stroke Rehabilitation team at Haywood Hospital. The successful candidate will provide rehabilitation assessment and treatment for stroke patients, manage a delegated caseload, and implement therapy programmes. The role involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams to support patient recovery, discharge planning, and independence, contributing to service improvement and seven-day service delivery.
Essential criteria
- Level 2 or above / equivalent
- GCSE maths & english or level 4 functional
Desirable criteria
- Relevant training
- Relevant experience of working in NHS setting within therapies / specialist area of stroke
- Sound knowledge of a range of clinical presentations and how to escalate concerns.
- Knowledge of correct assessments of patients and their condition and monitors the patient's response to intervention.
- Previous experience of working in a community/Hospital setting
- Evidence of multi-disciplinary team working
- Have evidence to show a good range of prior clinical experience
- Understanding of evidence based practice
- Committed to continuing professional development
