Role summary
This role involves leading a team of EUD Specialists and Technicians within the Desktop Operations Team. You will be responsible for supervising all aspects of End User Device service delivery, ensuring service level agreements are met, and supporting the team's development. Essential criteria
- Educated to a minimum of degree level or relevant equivalent experience
- To have or be working towards a relevant technical certification e.g. Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or legacy equivalent
- CompTIA A+ certified
- Management and Leadership certification or 2+ years in a IT Management or leadership role.
Desirable criteria
- To have or be working towards IT Infrastructure Library v4 (ITIL) Foundation certification
- Certifications in Network or Server technologies such as CompTIA Network+ or Windows Server certification
- Knowledge and Experience
- Detailed technical knowledge of current Microsoft operating systems
- Detailed knowledge of computing hardware and the end user computing environment
- Proven experience in line managing and developing technical personnel
- Substantial, proven, relevant experience working within a Desktop environment
- Excellent logical and diagnostic skills
- Sound working knowledge of networking and server technologies relevant to the end user computing environment
- Substantial experience of working in a healthcare IT environment

Job summary
You will work as part of the Desktop Operations Team to support and manage the desktop environment and provide a high-quality service to the healthcare community and GP surgeries.
The successful candidate will need to take responsibility for all aspects of supervising the EUD Specialists and EUD Technicians and ensure all workstreams are complete in the required timescales and SLA's.
Main duties of the job
- To take responsibility for all aspects of End User Devices service delivery, ensuring SLA performance and target timescales are met.
- Manage a team of EUD Specialists and EUD technicians, encouraging development and support them to deliver a performant service.
- Ensure delivery of robust and reliable IT services which meet the health community's clinical needs, and comply with defined service levels
- Assist in the development of Desktop Operations strategy and policy, and deliver technical improvements to infrastructure with input into concept/design/business case/implementation and ongoing support.
- Assist in the delivery of community-wide IT projects by provision of knowledge, expertise and technical resource and develop ongoing support arrangements when projects become business as usual
