An exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative and flexible Psychologist to join our Mental Health and Wellness Team psychology provision in the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham. The post holder will join a group of passionate psychologists who value diversity and inclusion. We are firm believers in the importance of co-designing and co-delivering with experts by experience, peer workers and partnering with third sector organisations. The team has a range of specialist interests, and experience in delivering a range of trauma specific therapies. We believe in the importance of richness in delivering secondary care services to effectively meet the needs of the population we serve, therefore integrated working with care co-ordinators from Barking and Dagenham Mental Health and Wellness Teams based at Barking Community Hospital is essential, and the post-holder will be required to work on site at least four days a week to facilitate this.

We work in tandem with the Community Psychology provision and view this as crucial in supporting the pathway and the people who need it to thrive. Trauma informed care is imperative not only for supporting people who use the services, but for the staff who work in them. We
