Job summary
The Band 6 ECT/rTMS Nurse is a senior post. The postholder will be responsible for delivering safe, effective, and compassionate neuromodulation treatments, including Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) and Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS). Main duties of the job
Assess patients pre-treatment including physical health checks, mental state, risk assessment, and treatment suitability.
Provide specialist nursing care during ECT or rTMS sessions, ensuring safety, comfort, and adherence to clinical protocols.
Ensure compliance with national guidelines, for ECTAS (ECT Accreditation Service) and NICE guidance.
Contribute to audits, quality improvement, and service accreditation processes.
Manage patient pathways, including referrals, scheduling, follow-up appointments, and communication with community teams.
