Role summary

This role provides high-quality professional administrative support to Community Nursing Teams, assisting Team Leaders with efficient office systems and procedures. Key responsibilities

  • Provide high quality professional administrative support to the Community Nursing Teams.
  • Support Team Leaders and community nursing teams to implement efficient office systems and procedures.
  • Ensure high standards of customer services are met at all times when liaising with staff, external organisations, patients and their relatives.
  • Provide a comprehensive administrative support to the community nursing team including typing of letters, minutes of meetings and other documentation.
  • Work from various teams in the locality to provide cover as required.

Essential criteria

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • GCSE English Grade C or above or equivalent/or equivalent experience
  • GCSE Maths Grade C or above or equivalent/or equivalent experience
  • Experience of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience of filing systems
  • Able to work to deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate to a high level with a wide range of people
  • Ability to use tact and diplomacy when dealing with service users who may be distressed, emotional and/or verbally aggressive
  • Proven Customer Care skills.
  • Ability to handle people in a courteous and sensitive manner, taking into account individual needs
