Role summary
This role is for an enthusiastic and committed Band 3 Clinical Support Worker in the Royal Stoke Emergency Department. You will provide essential clinical care to patients under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate documentation and communicating effectively within a multidisciplinary team and with patients. The position is initially fixed-term for 9 months, with potential for a permanent role.
Essential criteria
- Educated to GCSE D-G or Level 1 equivalent, including Maths and English (ECCTIS is required for overseas qualifications)
- Care Certificate or must complete within 12 weeks of commencing employment
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Care/Equivalent qualification or willing/required to complete if successful (If applicant has 3 years or more care experience this is voluntary).
- 12 months contractual care experience

Job summary
At present, University Hospitals of North Midlands is unable to offer visa sponsorship for Band 2 to Band 4 roles, as these positions do not meet the minimum salary and skill thresholds required under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations.
In relation to Band 3 Senior Clinical Support Worker roles, we are currently able to recruit successfully from the domestic labour market and have a sufficient pool of suitably qualified and appointable candidates. As a result, visa sponsorship is not available for this role at this time.
