Role summary
This role is for a GPhC registered Senior Pharmacy Technician with extensive aseptic preparation knowledge to join the Technical Services team at Southmead Hospital. You will assist the Lead Technician in ensuring compliance with EU-GMP standards through staff training and development. Key responsibilities include managing daily workload, supervising junior staff, and coordinating environmental monitoring. The position requires in-depth knowledge of aseptic preparation and a willingness to train others.
Essential criteria
- NVQ 3 or Equivalent
- Current registration with GPhC
- Evidence of C.P.D
Desirable criteria
- Completion of Pre & In-Process Checks (PIPC)
- Completion of Product Approval Accreditation
- Work Experience
- Post qualification experience within a UK Hospital Aseptic Unit
- Experience of working with GMP standards
- Management of staff or processes
- NVQ or equivalent assessor qualification
- Ability to mentor junior staff
- Experience of audit and quality management
- Skills and Knowledge
- Competent command of the English language
- Ability to communicate efficiently through multiple media
- Proficient use of windows based software
- Competency to work unsupervised
- Training and supervisory skills
- Personal atributes
- Self motivated and logical approach to problem solving
