Essential criteria
- A second class honours degree or higher in psychology OR BPS approved conversion degree

- An awareness of the local community including local demographics and challenges
- Psychological knowledge and skills developed through personal experience and the ability to reflect on this
- Experience using computers for literature research and data analysis

Job summary
We are excited to offer a 1 year fixed-term vacancy for an Assistant Psychologist in the Home-Based Treatment Team in Furness Home Based Treatment Team.
This post is being funded to provide opportunities for those who would normally be disadvantaged from applying for assistant psychologist posts. We are interested in recruiting people who have gained psychological knowledge and skills through a range of experiences; prior paid or voluntary experience is not a requirement of the post. The post does require you have a psychology undergraduate degree that is accredited by the British Psychological Society. We are interested in people who have a connection to the local area and ask you to identify your connection within your supporting statement.
Home Based Treatment Teams provide services to people with complex mental health needs. The post holder will be an integral and valued team member of the team, with the support of Clinical Psychologists and other multidisciplinary colleagues, including Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Psychiatrists and support workers. The postholder will receive weekly clinical supervision from a Clinical Psychologist.
