Role summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Safeguarding Adult Advisor to join a friendly and supportive team. The role involves promoting best practice, implementing standards, and monitoring safeguarding processes in line with national legislation and local procedures. You will provide specialist education, advice, and guidance to staff, prepare detailed safeguarding reports, and support the Safeguarding Adults Lead in managing complex issues. The successful candidate will help ensure the Trust meets its statutory obligations and achieves positive outcomes for adults at risk.

Essential criteria

  • Registration on part 1 of the NMC register/or other professional body
  • Diploma or degree in relevant subject
  • Evidence of further and ongoing study at Masters level
  • Safeguarding Supervision qualification
  • Evidence of CPD

Desirable criteria

  • Management qualification
  • Masters in relevant subject
  • Teaching qualification
  • Knowledge and Skills
  • Knowledge of Care Act 2014 in relation to S42 enquiries
  • Knowledge of acts relating to safeguarding (e.g Mental Capacity, Domestic Abuse etc)
  • Demonstrate a wide range of knowledge in relation to safeguarding adults.
  • Knowledge of current professional, local and national policy issues in relation to Safeguarding.
  • Excellent communicator both written and verbally
  • IT Literate
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent teaching skills
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or similar setting.
  • Safeguarding experience
  • Experience of multi agency working in relation to safeguarding
  • Experience of other care settings
  • Experience of practice development
  • Education and Training

Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our friendly Safeguarding Team as a Safeguarding Adult Advisor.

This rewarding role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive and experienced safeguarding team, helping to ensure that the Trust meets its responsibilities in relation to safeguarding adults at risk.

As a Safeguarding Adult Advisor, you will support the delivery of the Trust's safeguarding agenda by promoting best practice, implementing standards, and monitoring safeguarding processes in line with national legislation, statutory guidance, and local multi-agency procedures. The role provides excellent opportunities to broaden your experience, further develop your safeguarding knowledge, and make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable adults.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the implementation and effective application of safeguarding adults policies and procedures, helping to achieve positive outcomes for adults at risk and ensuring the Trust meets its statutory obligations. You will contribute to the development and maintenance of robust safeguarding monitoring, governance, and assurance systems, supporting continuous improvement across the organisation.
