Role summary
Norfolk & Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Electrician to join their multi-disciplinary maintenance team. The role involves providing comprehensive planned, routine, and reactive electrical maintenance across Suffolk & Norfolk sites, based in Lowestoft. The successful candidate will be responsible for fault finding, routine inspections, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. This position also requires participation in an on-call team for emergency out-of-hours service.
Essential criteria
- Knowledge and experience of standard and specialist aspects of electrical services
- Understanding and knowledge of the inter-relationship between the building trades and electrical & mechanical services
- Understanding of Health & Safety Regulations within the Workplace
Desirable criteria
- The Electrical Safety Code for Low Voltage Systems - HTM 2020
- Firecode HTM 82 Alarm & Detection Systems BS5839 Part 1
- Two years relevant experience having demonstrated high technical verstility and flexability
- Experience of working in a mental health & secure services environment
- Recognised & registered EITB minimum 3 year apprenticeship as in Electrical Engineering
- City & Guilds 236 Parts A & B OR City & Guilds 2330 Electro Technical Technology inc. AM1 & AM2 or equivalent OR NVQ Level 3 in electrical engineering
- City & Guilds BS7671 - 18th Edition of the I.E.E. Regulations
- Full UK driving licence for ability to drive Trust vehicles
- BTEC ONC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Portable Appliance Test Certificate
- C&G or equivalent - Unvented Hot Water Storage Systems
