Role summary

This role is for a highly organised and discreet administrator to join a specialist Child Death Review team. You will provide high-quality administrative support for statutory child death review processes, working with multi-agency partners. The position involves maintaining records, coordinating meetings, collating information, and preparing reports. Accuracy, compassion, and confidentiality are essential in this sensitive role.

Essential criteria

  • A good understanding of confidentiality and the ability to apply this to the workplace
  • Efficient / organised
  • GCSEs grade C/4 or above, or equivalent
  • RSA III typing or equivalent
  • NVQ Level 4 Business & Administration or equivalent knowledge and experience
  • Previous experience in an administrative role
  • Ability to minute meetings in which there is a high level of complex information and terminology
  • Ability to work proactively and under pressure

  • Awareness of current issues relating to child safeguarding, child death review or multi-agency working
  • Systematic, methodical approach to work with attention to detail, priorities, accuracy and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work professionally and sensitively with distressing or emotive subject matter, with appropriate support
