Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Rotational Physiotherapist to join a friendly, supportive, and dynamic neurorehabilitation team. The role involves providing high-standard physiotherapy services to adult inpatients, assessing and treating complex caseloads autonomously, and supervising junior staff. The successful candidate will gain experience across various neurorehabilitation areas, including Hyper Acute Stroke Unit, Acute Stroke Unit, Inpatient Stroke Rehabilitation, Early Supported Discharge Team, and Community Neuro Rehabilitation Service. A valid UK driving licence and access to a car are essential for community-based visits.
Essential criteria
- Broad range of experience in the similar role
- Experience of multi-disciplinary team working
- Ability to demonstrate ongoing CPD and the use of evidence-based practice.
- Knowledge and experience of management of elderly patients, including those with falls, dementia and/or delirium

Are you an enthusiastic and motivated physiotherapist looking to develop your expertise in neurorehabilitation? We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Rotational Physiotherapist to join our friendly, supportive, and dynamic team.
This role is ideal for an experienced Band 6 or a Band 5 physiotherapist ready to progress, provided you have some stroke and neuro experience, whether through previous rotations or clinical placements.
We have an established band 6 Neuro rotation which offers experience in the following areas: Hyper Acute Stroke Unit; Acute Stroke Unit; Inpatient Stroke Rehabilitation; Early Supported Discharge Team and Community Neuro Rehabilitation Service.
Main duties of the job
To provide a high standard physiotherapy service to adult inpatients within the Trust
To assess and treat own caseload of patients, who may have complex presentation, and maintains associated records, as an autonomous practitioner
To supervise and teach recently qualified physiotherapists/physiotherapy assistants/students and involvement in teaching MDT staff.
To undertake evidence-based projects, including recommendations for change in practice and may participate in departmental research and audit
