Role summary
This is a year-long secondment opportunity for Senior Mental Health Practitioners to join the Adult Community Mental Health Team in Bury St Edmunds. Key responsibilities
- Managing a complex caseload for those under The Care Programme Approach
- Undertaking initial urgent/routine assessments on behalf of the service
- Attending multi-disciplinary team meetings with various professionals
- Undertaking face to face visits in the community setting including home visits
- Working with service users and their families/carers to care plan holistic goal setting and engage in treatment planning
- Supervision and mentorship of junior staff members
Essential criteria
- Registered Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurse, Occupational Therapist OR Social Worker with the relevant professional registration
- Experience in the delivery of clinical interventions
- The ability to use clinical assessment tools and outcome measures effectively and collaboratively
Desirable criteria
- Recognised Leadership/Management training
- Experience working in the specific area
