Role summary
This role is for a Band 6 Mental Health professional passionate about Early Intervention in Psychosis within the Midlands Partnership Foundation Trust. The Early Intervention Team supports individuals experiencing a first episode of psychosis, offering comprehensive care. The successful applicant will contribute to assessments, act as a care co-ordinator for a clinical caseload, and work autonomously on care plans. Key responsibilities
- Contribute to assessments of people referred to the service, working with team members, individuals, families/carers, and other services.
- Act as care co-ordinator to a clinical caseload of individuals accepted onto the service.
- Contribute to a team approach in meeting the needs of service users and their families.
- Act as an autonomous practitioner in aspects of the role, agreeing care plans with service users and the multi-disciplinary team.
- Refer to the team leader and senior practitioners for high profile and very complex cases.
Essential criteria
- Registered mental health professional Eg. Nurse or Occupational Therapist
- Active on relevant professional register
- Evidence of extensive post registration experience of working with adults experiencing mental health related difficulties
- Experience of working with people who have difficulty in engaging with services and have complex mental health needs
- Experience of assessing, planning, co-ordinating and managing people with mental health problems in a community setting
Desirable criteria
- Psychological interventions qualification (CBT, EMDR, CAT, DBT, Family Therapy)
- Experience of leading CPA process

Therefore, the successful applicant must be willing to travel across the geographical area where required.
