Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior People Relations Advisor to join an established team. The role involves supporting and overseeing complex cases, developing the people relations team, and providing expert advice to senior managers. The post holder will also manage appeals and a caseload of Employment Tribunals, with opportunities to lead projects.
Key responsibilities
- Resolve complex employee relations issues in line with Trust policies and procedures.
- Advise and support Managers and staff on HR policies, procedures, and best practice, including employee relations, absence, performance, and employment law.
- Work with the Head of People Relations to manage Appeals and Employment Tribunal cases.
- Identify, develop, and deliver HR training and development programmes covering Employee Relations.
- Coach Managers on an individual basis to equip them with necessary knowledge and skills.
Essential criteria
- MCIPD or Graduate CIPD with significant experience
- extensive operational HR experience in large organisation
- Experience of dealing with complex HR issues
- Experience of managing HR systems
- Sound knowledge of Employment Law.
- Sound letter and report writing skills, able to present information logically, clearly and concisely
- The ability to build effective working relationships and establish credibility with colleagues and Managers.
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working in a unionised organisation
- Knowledge of MHPS policy

Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Advisor to join an established People Relations Team. This is a new opportunity to support and oversee complex cases while supporting the development of the people relations team and department managers. The post holder will require significant experience of providing complex ER Advice to Senior Managers within a complex organisation.
Main duties of the job
You will be required to work with the existing Senior Advisors, to give focused expert advice, through options based coaching to line managers with a focus on the long standing and complex cases. You will also support the management of Appeals and hold a caseload of Employment Tribunals. There will also be opportunities to take on projects to support the working and development of the team.
