  • Evidence of participation in an on-call/extended hours system
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Desire to improve and develop excellent clinical abilities
  • Excellent patient care skills
  • Well-ordered and accurate record keeping abilities
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Accuracy, precision and good concentration
  • Ability to work in a team, whilst using initiative appropriately

Job summary

We are recruiting for a Specialist Radiographer who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

The Centre is a specialist imaging unit (MRI, CT, PET/CT) with a large research commitment which requires highly specialised imaging knowledge.

Applicants will need to be proficient in at least one of the modalities - CT/MRI/PETCT.

We are closely linked with the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre and a large proportion of the workload is oncology related. The post includes the ability to communicate highly complex information and provide reassurance to patients as well as regular participation in research and clinical trial activities.

This post requires high levels of flexibility and professional autonomy and includes an adaptable rotation through all three imaging modalities in the Centre.
