Role summary
This is an excellent development opportunity for a registered nurse to join the dynamic tissue viability team at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Key responsibilities

- Support the Lead Nurse for Tissue Viability in the day to day running of the Trust wide service.
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team and also work autonomously, exercising clinical expertise in tissue viability.
Essential criteria
- First level registered nurse
- Substantial post registration experience.
- RN Level 1
- Good interpersonal skills and communication skills.
- Clinical competence.
- Ability to liaise effectively with senior medical and nursing staff, managers and all grades of health care workers.
- To be able to make informed clinical choices and formulate a plan of care delivery.
- Computer skills.
Desirable criteria
- Experience in wound care
- Degree level education.
- A recognised teaching qualification, i.e. 730/998 or equivalent.
- Qualification in wound care or working towards.
- Experience of writing educational programmes
- Experience of presenting
- Experience of RCA
- Experience in managing own work load
- Demonstrable knowledge of research process.
- Be able to critically analyse research papers.
- Project management experience.
- Demonstrate competent computer proficiency (Microsoft Applications).
