Role summary

This role seeks an experienced and accredited Anti-Crime Specialist to join the 360 Assurance bank for a fixed-term of 6 months. The specialist will support NHS and public sector clients in delivering high-quality counter fraud services, focusing on preventing, detecting, and responding to fraud, bribery, and corruption. The post holder will work autonomously within a supportive team, requiring strong investigative, analytical, and communication skills. The role involves protecting public funds and delivering professional anti-crime work within an NHS environment.

Essential criteria

  • Two A levels or equivalent
  • GCSE English Language & Mathematics at Grade C and above or equivalent.
  • NHS Accredited Counter Fraud Specialist or similar counter fraud qualification acceptable to NHS Counter Fraud Authority (ie only requiring completion of their conversion course) eg Professionalism in Security (PINS)

  • Demonstrable practical experience of undertaking fraud investigations
  • Demonstrable experience of providing evidence at disciplinary hearings

  • Knowledge of NHS commissioner and provider organisational anti-crime related issues
  • Familiarity with relevant anti-crime related legislation
  • Detailed understanding of the principles of confidentiality and data protection issues and their impact on anti-crime work
  • Skills and Ability
  • Demonstrable IT knowledge and skills, particularly use of Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • To be able to demonstrate Analytical skills and the ability to collate and analyse data from different sources
  • To be able to demonstrate excellent organisation skills and work prioritisation

Job summary

We are looking to appoint an experienced and accredited Anti-Crime Specialist to join the 360 Assurance bank for a fixed-term period to cover an increase in demand. This is an opportunity to support NHS and wider public sector clients in the delivery of high-quality counter fraud services, helping organisations prevent, detect and respond effectively to fraud, bribery and corruption, as well as related risks.

The post holder will work with a high degree of autonomy, while remaining part of a supportive and experienced anti-crime team.

Applicants should be accredited as a Counter Fraud Specialist or hold an equivalent qualification acceptable to NHS Counter Fraud Authority requirements. You will need practical experience of counter fraud work, strong investigative and analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities across a range of client environments.

This fixed term post would suit a professional who can work flexibly, independently and to a high standard, while maintaining confidentiality, discretion and a strong customer-focused approach. Travel to client sites across the Midlands and South Yorkshire may be required.
