Role summary
This role involves joining the Therapeutic Interventions for Distressing unusual Experiences Service (TIDES) to support young people at risk of psychosis. You will work therapeutically with young people across Norfolk & Waveney, delivering evidence-based interventions. The team comprises various professionals, offering a supportive environment with opportunities for professional development. You will manage a small caseload and coordinate care, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Essential criteria
- Registered Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurse, Occupational Therapist OR Social Worker with the relevant professional registration
- Completion of Preceptorship
Desirable criteria
- Recognised Leadership/Management training
- Other
- Ability to travel independently
- Able to demonstrate an appropriate level of knowledge of mental health practice from previous experience
- Experience working in community mental health settings
- Experience supervising others/students including preceptorship programme, student placements etc
- Prevention and Management of Suicide training

Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join a relatively new team, which aims to help young people at risk of developing psychosis who are experiencing an at-risk mental state. The Therapeutic Interventions for Distressing unusual Experiences Service (TIDES) is a team working therapeutically with young people across Norfolk & Waveney.
If successful at interview you will be allocated to a locality. This will be Norwich North and Great Yarmouth, or Norwich South and King's Lynn. There is an expectation that case managers split their time between the central bases and the base in either Great Yarmouth or Kings Lynn.
We are accepting those with core professions from: mental health nurses, occupational therapists, and social workers. (You will require an up-to date registration).
We are a supported team currently made up of clinical psychology, systemic family therapy, cognitive behavioural therapists, mental health practitioners, support workers and a vocational worker, all of whom are from a variety of professional backgrounds.
