Role summary
This role is for an enthusiastic and motivated Clerical Officer / Administrator to join the dynamic administrative team supporting the NHS Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) screening service. Based at Royal Liverpool Hospital, the part-time position provides comprehensive administrative support to the Cheshire and Merseyside AAA screening programme. Key duties include administering patient invitations and appointments, recording information, and updating computerised data systems. The post holder will also be the first point of contact for the screening office.
Essential criteria
- NVQ 3 or equivalent in relevant area
- Computer literacy in Word, Excel or equivalent.
- Previous use of computer systems
- Evidence of work in an office setting
Desirable criteria
- Previous NHS Experience
- Some medical terminology
- Good organisational skills to manage routine range of work procedures.
- Knowledge of the NHS patient care systems
- IT skills including accurate data entry skills
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Previous clerical experience
- Able to maintain confidentiality
- Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Ability to work within a team and effectively liaise with people at all levels.
- Ability to make unsupervised judgements on patient enquires and problems.
