Role summary
The Senior Clinical Support Worker assists and supports Registered Nurses and the multi-disciplinary team to provide safe, holistic, person-centred care. This role involves actively contributing to the health and wellbeing of patients and staff, communicating effectively with sensitivity and compassion. They work independently within their sphere of nursing under the supervision of a registered nurse, undertaking delegated tasks for which they are trained and assessed as competent. Flexibility to work variable shifts over 7 days a week is required.
Essential criteria
- 12 months experience in a professional contract as a Healthcare Assistant or equivalent
- Educated to GSCE level 4/C or Level 2 equivalent, including Maths and English (ECCTIS is required for overseas qualifications)
- Hold a full Care Certificate or NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (NVQ MUST be from an accredited awarding body).

Job summary
At present, University Hospitals of North Midlands is unable to offer visa sponsorship for Band 2 to Band 4 roles, as these positions do not meet the minimum salary and skill thresholds required under UK Visas and Immigration regulations.
In relation to Band 3 Senior Clinical Support Worker roles, we are currently able to recruit successfully from the domestic labour market and have a sufficient pool of suitably qualified and appointable candidates. As a result, visa sponsorship is not available for this role at this time. This position is kept under regular review and may change in the future should labour market conditions or service requirements alter.
