Role summary

This role is for a Band 5 Exercise Rehabilitation Instructor within Defence Primary Healthcare, working at the Chatham Medical Centre and potentially other sites in Kent. The instructor will provide high-standard exercise-based rehabilitation for musculoskeletal and sports injuries to entitled personnel. It involves clinical assessments, designing treatment schedules, and maintaining patient records. The position is part-time, offering 15 hours per week.

  • Must have relevant experience in the assessment and exercise-based treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, sports injuries and orthopaedic conditions.
  • Regular information technology (IT) user.
  • Competency in provision of group rehabilitation as well as one-to-one.
  • Experience of Military /Occupational fitness assessment.
  • Experience of Strength and conditioning coaching.

Are you a Band 5 Exercise Rehabilitation Instructor (ERI) looking for an exciting role, working alongside the military, which offers numerous benefits and opportunities? If the answer is yes, then we are looking to appoint a professional and patient focused individual with a strong commitment to providing a high quality service to work within our friendly and welcoming team at the Chatham Medical Centre, Brompton Barracks.

The post holder will work as part of a multidisciplinary

primary healthcare team within the Kent Combined Medical Practice. The Combined

Practice is formed of 3 sites, Chatham Medical Centre, Shorncliffe Medical

Centre and Maidstone Medical Centre and there will be an expectation to work

across all sites as and when required.

This is a part time role, offering 15 hours per week.

Requests to work flexibly and/or part time will be considered, taking into account business needs.
