Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for experienced and newly qualified band 5 Operating Department Practitioners/Anaesthetic Trained Nurses to join our Children's and Obstetric Theatres services at the Royal London Hospital.

We have 4 Children's theatres and 2 Obstetric theatres at the Royal London Hospital covering a diverse range of both elective and emergency work in a variety of specialties including major trauma, via the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS). Our paediatric elective work includes a range of clinical specialities; ENT, Dental, Trauma and Orthopaedics, Plastics, General and Neonatal Surgery, Ophthalmology.

As part of your development you will have the opportunity to work in our adult inpatient theatres on a three month rotation. During the rotation you will gain invaluable trauma experiences and increase your knowledge and skills. As an Anaesthetic Nurse/ODP in children's and obstetrics theatres you will also be rotated to work in our paediatric recovery areas, allowing our department to work together as one team.
