Role summary
This role is for an experienced Project Lead to join the NHS PeoplePortal Programme team. You will support Kent & Medway NHS organisations in the early adoption and implementation of a new digital system. The role involves coordinating project activities, supporting system testing and data migration, and managing risks across multiple NHS organisations. You will work closely with the Programme Director to ensure a successful go-live for the new system.
Essential criteria
- Educated to degree level in a relevant subject of equivalent experience
- Project and/or Programme management office qualification, PRINCE 2, APM or equivalent experience

- Educated to Masters degree level in a relevant subject of equivalent experience
- Knowledge and Skills
- Strong project coordination and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong understanding and utilisation of Oracle Fusion or NHS ESR.
- Good understanding of digital system implementation and the relationship between business processes, users, data and technology.
- Advanced IT skills in a range of desktop applications e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to work collaboratively across organisational boundaries and build effective relationships.
- Knowledge of NHS information governance, data quality and data migration considerations
- Significant experience of project or programme delivery within a complex organisation, preferably within the NHS or another large public sector environment
- Experience of coordinating multiple workstreams, stakeholders or organisations.
- Experience of supporting implementation of digital systems, technology-enabled change or business transformation.
- Experience of undertaking or coordinating system testing, user acceptance testing or system integration testing.

We're looking for an experienced and motivated Project Lead to join our NHS PeoplePortal Programme team and play a key role in supporting Kent & Medway NHS organisations as they prepare for early adoption and implementation of this new system.
Working closely with the Programme Director - K&M NHS PeoplePortal Programme , you'll be at the heart of delivery -- coordinating activity across multiple NHS organisations and bringing together project, technical, data, communications, training and user engagement activity to make sure organisations are ready for a successful go-live.
This post is fixed term/secondment for 18 months from the start date. If you are interested in applying for secondment, you must obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying for this post.
What will you do?
You'll be a hands-on delivery lead, supporting organisations through the full implementation journey, including:
- Coordinating project plans, milestones, actions, risks, issues and dependencies across multiple NHS organisations.
- Supporting system and integration testing , coordinating activity, capturing results and working
