Role summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Hepatology Team as a Band 4 Digital Support Worker. You will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team, alongside another Digital Support Worker, to support Hepatology patients and their care. The role involves using My Medical Records to monitor and book surveillance for patients. This is a fixed-term contract until September 2027 due to short-term funding.

Key responsibilities

  • Join the Hepatology Team as a Band 4 Digital Support Worker.
  • Work as part of the multi-disciplinary team.

Essential criteria

  • NVQ or apprenticeship Level 3 in Health
  • Numeracy skills and Literacy skills at level 2 (or equivalent).
  • Proficient in use of Hospital systems
  • Proven experience in a caring role.
  • Understanding of acute hospital environment and the role of SHCA
  • Previous experience of working with the general public.
  • Ability to communicate with wide range of people.
  • Ability to work under own initiative and prioritise workload
  • Ability to adjust to pressures of job.
  • Willingness to undertake further training
  • Strong interest in digital/IT
  • Experience of dealing with non-routine and complex problems, able to progress chase
  • Interest in new ways of working and supporting clinical teams during periods of change
