Role summary
This is a casual bank nurse role for an IV Therapy Homecare Nurse, offering flexible shifts in Sheffield/Leeds and surrounding areas. The role involves providing high-quality, individualized nursing care to patients requiring Parenteral Nutrition and other IV therapies in their homes. Responsibilities include administering prescribed IV therapies, providing training to patients/carers, and working in partnership with NHS colleagues. Essential criteria
- RN with current NMC registration (adult)
- Additional Criteria
- Knowledge of supporting patients requiring Home Parenteral Nutrition and IV Therapies
- Understanding of national standards and guidelines for IV infusions/CVADs
- Flexibility
- Ability to work alone
- Make decisions in a clinical emergency situation
- Ability to manage conflict
- Excellent Communication skills
- Competent in IT systems eg email, Excel, Word, mobile applications
- Good time management
- Good team player
- Organized
- Show initiative
- Highly motivated
- Adaptable to a changing workload
- Current Valid driving License
- Ability to travel and visit patients outside local area
- Current clinical experience minimum of least 1 year
- Competent in the management and delivery of IV Therapies
- Competent in the care and management of CVADs
- Blood samples from CVADs
- Cannulation/Venipuncture - peripheral
