Role summary
This role is for a Highly Specialist Hand Therapist, either an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist, to join a hand therapy service. You will provide specialist assessment and rehabilitation for patients with various upper-limb conditions, manage complex caseloads, and supervise junior staff. The position requires advanced clinical reasoning and a commitment to high professional standards within a supportive team environment.
Key responsibilities
- Independently assess and treat a varied caseload of upper-limb conditions, including complex trauma.
- Fabricate and prescribe splints, deliver patient education, and adapt treatment plans.
- Supervise junior staff and students, contributing to their development.
- Participate in service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Represent hand therapy within multidisciplinary meetings and maintain accurate record-keeping.
- Support operational management and foster a positive, evidence-driven team environment.
