Role summary
This is a full-time, permanent Band 4 Dental Nurse position at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The role involves working as a "Float Dental Nurse" across various dental specialties, providing chairside support to clinicians. Key responsibilities
- Provide high-quality chairside support to clinicians across multiple dental specialties.
- Work flexibly across departments including Oral Surgery, Restorative Dentistry, Orthodontics, Paediatric Dentistry, and Special Care Dentistry.
- Maintain a high standard of infection prevention and control in accordance with TRUST POLICIES.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of clinical environments and equipment.
- Deliver excellent patient care, ensuring comfort, dignity, and safety at all times.
- Maintain accurate clinical records in line with Trust standards.
Essential criteria
- NEBDN and/or an appropriate professional qualification or equivalent
- General Dental Council registration

- Post Qualification Certificate
- Experience of working in a clinical setting
- Experience of working in the specialty
- Skills and Abilities
- Maintain accurate patient's files/X-rays transfer data to database display an appreciation for the importance of this.
- Ability to work under own initiative without direct supervision.
- Ability to work as part of a team with a professional approach towards work and colleagues.
- IT skills - Maintain personal Record and general information data entry, text processing.
