Role summary
This role is for an inspirational and experienced Team Lead for the Mental Health Support Teams in Schools (MHST) for North and East Dorset. The successful candidate will lead a team of professionals working within educational settings, including Education Mental Health Practitioners. They will work alongside the Service Lead and other Team Leads to develop the team and ensure high-quality care for children, young people, and families. This position involves clinical and line management responsibilities and working in partnership with education and Local Authority colleagues.

Job summary
The Mental Health Support Teams in Schools (MHST) have been developed with the aim of improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people in the community in response to the government's Green Paper for Young People's Mental Health.
We are looking for an inspirational and experienced leader for our wonderful staff team within the Mental Health Support in Schools Team for North and East Dorset and surrounding areas.
This is a unique post leading a team of professionals working within educational settings, some of whom are training to be Education Mental Health Practitioners and some of whom are already qualified.
You will work alongside the Service Lead, and the other Team Leads for the service, in developing the team and ensure that the highest quality of care is delivered to children, young people and families. You'll be part of the Senior Management Team and have the opportunity to influence Team and Service development.
