Role summary
The Clinical Workforce Team is seeking a Registered Nurse or AHP to join as a Senior Workforce Practitioner. This permanent, part-time role involves collaborating with senior clinical staff and recruitment teams to design, implement, and evaluate clinical workforce projects. The successful candidate will support the implementation of national and regional workforce initiatives, develop professional relationships with clinical areas, and help grow the clinical workforce pipeline. The role requires excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with a base at either Colchester or Ipswich Hospitals.
Essential criteria
- Registered nurse/AHP (degree level or equivalent experience)

- Project Management qualification
- Mental Health First Aider
- Professional Advocate
- Proven post qualifying experience in an acute setting
- Experience supporting staff in the clinical environment
- Evidence of managing and improving the patient experience
- Previous experience at band 6
- Project management/QI experience
- Excel, PowerPoint, word and excel skills
- Ability to think creatively
- Good people skills

Job summary
The Clinical Workforce Team has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse or AHP who is passionate about clinical workforce to join as a Senior Workforce Practitioner.
We have one 32 hrs permanent position from 4th January 2027.
You will need excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills and the ability to think creatively in order to collaborate with senior clinical staff and ESNEFT recruitment and retention teams to design, implement and evaluate clinical workforce projects.
You will have a working knowledge of the NHS Long Term Workforce Plan and NHS People Promise as well as an awareness of national and regional clinical workforce initiatives.
You can choose whether your base site will be Colchester or Ipswich Hospitals however cross site working and travel is a requirement of the role.
