Role summary
This role involves supporting individuals with serious and enduring mental health difficulties to retain or find paid employment. You will manage a caseload, using a person-centred approach to identify career goals and provide tailored support. The position also requires building relationships with local employers to promote inclusive workplaces and working in partnership with community mental health teams and other organisations. The aim is to help clients achieve independence and confidence through work.
Essential criteria
- Educated to degree level or equivalent level of knowledge
- Experience or knowledge of recruitment/employment
- Knowledge and experience of Recovery and Social Inclusion principles
- Experience of working in supported employment services
- Experience of working with people with Mental Health problems or a similar service user group
- An understanding of employment and challenges for people who have Mental Health experiences

- Flexibility to travel within the region
- Full driving license with access to own vehicle for business purposes

We are looking for motivated, people-focused individuals to join our friendly Individual Placement & Support (IPS) Employment Services as Employment Specialists supporting people with serious and enduring mental health difficulties, who are employed when referred to the service.
