Role summary
This role is for an enthusiastic and adaptable Senior Therapy Assistant to join a caring and progressive team within Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust. You will use your skills and experience to support clinical teams and deliver great patient care. The position requires a professional approach and a passion for excellent patient care, contributing to the positive experience of patients and service users daily. It is a full-time, permanent role.
Essential criteria
- Functional Skills at Level 2 (Literacy and numeracy/ GCSE grade A-C or equivalent in English and Maths)
Desirable criteria
- Mentorship / Coaching qualification Evidence of Foundation Degree Level study (Level 5) or willingness to complete
- Demonstratable experience as a Senior Healthcare worker; Experience of working as part of a team; Experience with the use of Microsoft Office and a variety of IT packages
- Experience of community environment; Prior therapy work with patients that have physical health conditions.
- Awareness of professional issues and recent developments in the NHS and Integrated Care Board including Clinical Governance, NICE, Essence of Care; Knowledge of up to date clinical practice; Understands the role and remit of a Band 4
- Skills and Attributes
- Sound communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written); Ability to organise own work; Ability to cope with change; Ability to use own initiative; Moderate IT skills.
