Role summary
This role is a fixed-term opportunity to join the specialist structural heart team at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will coordinate clinical MDT meetings, manage patient lists, and liaise with other organisations to ensure complete patient information. This position covers maternity leave and requires administrative and organisational skills within a healthcare environment.
Essential criteria
- Good standard of secondary education with literacy and numeracy skills demonstrable to GSCE pass level or equivalent standard
- Administrative and organisational experience in a healthcare environment
- RSA 2 word processing/typing or an equivalent level of experience
- Experience of dealing with non-routine and complex problems and progress chasing
- Knowledge and experience across a range of admin work procedures gained in a Healthcare setting
- Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office
- Previous experience in a co-ordination role
Desirable criteria
- Courses / further study attended to demonstrate evidence of personal development
- Diploma level qualification or equivalent experience
- European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL)
- RSA 3
- Proficient in the use of all hospital computerised patient systems
- Good knowledge of medical terminology
- Previous experience in an acute hospital environment

Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team in our specialist structural heart team offers an alternative treatment option for patients who have been deemed unsuitable for conventional open heart surgery.
This role is to cover our current MDT co-ordinator maternity leave, to ensure a seamless administrative process for our patients.
